Sage Hill Spotlight: Mark Rosman

Mark Rosman is a lecturer and coordinator for the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television’s first year MFA Director Cinematography Program. Rosman uses Sage Hill as a shooting location. Students enrolled in his 410A Symposium are tasked to shoot a short film in designated locations, one of them being Sage Hill. This course is taught every year in the fall, and approximately 11 students use Sage Hill as their filming location every year.

Sage Hill is a valuable site to shoot films because it presents a challenge for aspiring filmmakers. The site appears to be a remote location, which students enjoy capturing. Shooting the location and its natural scenery is important because there is nothing like Sage Hill in Los Angeles.
