The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHM) is the largest natural history museum west of the Rocky Mountains, and serves a critical role in research and outreach for Southern California conservation science. The La Kretz Center partners with the NHM to address conservation and ecological issues that directly affect the greater Los Angeles county. Collaborations have included co-funding of La Kretz Center Postdoctoral Fellows, as well as hosting public conversations with experts on current conservation issues ranging from cats to coyotes to the LA River.
