Project Phoenix 2024 Annual Report
The community birding initiative, Project Phoenix, is thrilled to present its 2024 Year-End report!
Last year was another successful season for the innovative community birding project Project Phoenix, and the project’s team is excited to share its 2024 Year-End report!
La Kretz Center Postdoctoral Researcher Dr. Olivia Sanderfoot launched Project Phoenix in 2023 and has since cultivated a community dedicated to understanding the impact of smoke on bird populations during fire season. In 2024, this groundbreaking citizen science program reached new heights by expanding to more locations and engaging hundreds of new volunteers!
