UCLA La Kretz Center for California Conservation Science | Stunt Ranch Santa Monica Mountains Reserve
David is a recent UCLA graduate (Environmental Sciences, class of ’22) working alongside Brad Shaffer to maintain and monitor the Stunt Ranch Santa Monica Mountains Reserve and the La Kretz Center for California Conservation Science. While earning his degree, David conducted comprehensive bumble bee diversity and habitat surveys throughout the remote Siskiyou Mountains for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Additionally, for his UCLA senior practicum project, David served as an Assistant Software Technician for a study led by Brad Shaffer and La Kretz postdoctoral researcher Dave Daversa, which involved developing a habitat suitability model for the federally endangered Arroyo Toad for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife and U.S. Geological Survey.
