Abbie Tingstad is a Physical Scientist at the RAND Santa Monica office working on issues related to security, defense, and climate change. Some recent projects include work on acquisition and technology, force employment, future planning, unmanned systems, Arctic policies, and the impacts of different types of climate information on decision-making.
Tingstad received her Ph.D. in Geography from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to that, she was awarded an M.Sc. in Environmental Geomorphology from the University of Oxford, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
