The Anthony Pritzker Family Foundation bolsters the institute’s transdisciplinary strengths and hands-on approach through several endowments that support faculty chairs, research centers, and the Pritzker Emerging Environmental Genius Award. Tony Pritzker, was a Board Member of the institute’s advisory board for nearly 10 years, where his thirty-plus years of experience in asset management and middle-market manufacturing translates to actionable insights.
The charitable foundation of Los Angeles philanthropist Anthony Pritzker has donated $20 million to UCLA to create several endowments, largely to support environmental and sustainability research aimed at helping Los Angeles and cities around the globe confront 21st century challenges.
The gift also provides an endowment for grants to UCLA students who are or were in foster care. The remainder of the transformative donation goes to UCLA’s Hammer Museum, in support of expanded arts programs for children and families.
