Leadership Project Guidelines
To complete the Leaders in Sustainability Certificate Program, all students are required to demonstrate leadership on a project related to sustainability. Projects can be completed individually or with a group and can be related to one’s graduate studies or completely unrelated. LiS projects should have clear outcomes and impacts and go beyond research in one’s field.

Through these projects, students make a positive impact on communities before they graduate. Relationships formed during the program develop an ever-growing network of professionals. Together, they use what they’ve learned to take the lead in creating a more sustainable world—working at places such as Liberty Hill Foundation, Bank of America and the Environmental Protection Agency.
