Want to make a difference and protect local biodiversity? The native plants and animals of Sage Hill need your help this weekend! Join other UCLA students this Saturday and help prevent invasive weeds from taking over this special place.

Join other UCLA students this Saturday at Sage Hill and help prevent invasive plants from taking over! Meet at Krieger parking lot below Sage Hill (see map) at 10 AM on Saturday September 30th.

Sage Hill is the largest remaining native ecosystem on the UCLA campus and home to dozens of species found nowhere else on campus. Native species, such purple nightshade (Solanum xanti) seen above, are being crowded out by aggressive weeds such as castor bean (Ricinis comunis).

Meet at the parking lot below Sage Hill (see map). From campus, pedestrians can walk to Sage Hill from De Neve or from Bellagio (dashed blue lines). If driving, please park at parking lot 11.

Sage Hill is located in the NW corner of campus (red area of inset) near Bellagio and Sunset. For events we usually meet in the parking lot below Sage Hill (arrow). From campus, pedestrians can walk to Sage Hill from De Neve or from Bellagio (dashed blue lines). If driving, please park at parking lot 11.
