About the Speaker:
Dr. J. Kameron Carter is a Professor of African American Studies, Comparative Literature and Religion at the University of California, Irvine. His work is deeply interdisciplinary, focusing on how religion informs and is informed by race, ecology and culture. Through his lectures and books, Dr. Carter challenges conventional understandings of religion and opens pathways to deeper discussions about society and the environment.
